Hi I use Linux deploy in an android box. I installed it within a 4 Go file in the internal SD CARD after a few weeks the df commands gave a few % available. I increased the file to 5 Go and I got something around 20% size available ... fine ! But after a few days the size was only a few % I increased the file to 6 Go last week and again got a lot of % available And after a few days it is again only a few % I cannot find which files take this memory See df result: beelink@localhost:~$ df Sys. de fichiers blocs de 1K Utilisé Disponible Uti% Monté sur /dev/loop1 6047304 5524952 215152 97% / tmpfs 896296 492 895804 1% /dev tmpfs 896296 0 896296 0% /dev/shm /dev/fuse 1953497088 1881394176 72102912 97% /storage/828D-22CB /dev/fuse 15140864 818688 14322176 6% /storage/969D-562F

Danct12 commented 6 years ago

Try to clean the /tmp folder and run a disk usage analyzer program from your Linux session. I recommend ncdu.

pbranly commented 6 years ago

Thank you very much for your help I found the issue I had sendmail running and generating quantities of files as mails were never sent. I assume those mails were generated by the system. i came back to a clean status now Thanks Regards Philippe

WilsonBradley commented 6 years ago

Thanks for following up. Could you give more details on location of sendmail folder. Was this enabled by default?

Ya, support is far and between for Linux Deploy..

Thanks

pbranly commented 6 years ago

hi I can’t find it now as I erased it I think those files were somewhere under /var And yes it is not linked to Linux deploy as I installed sendmail sometimes ago . But is I did not anticipate that sendmail will generate so many files with Go of data’s And finally Ye, I am surprised of so few answers in this forum. Linux deploy is somehow for geeks and should generate tons of questions .. Thanks for your help because my sole solution was to reinstall the file linixdeploy every few weeks Regards Philippe

WilsonBradley commented 6 years ago

Haha. definitely dead and just echo's around here.. Im sure you have already seen XDA's (this is the only one I know.) https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-install-linux-os-alongside-t3726844#post77366156

Danct12 commented 6 years ago

I assume that sendmail folder was under /var/mail or /var/spool/mail.

I actually use Linux Deploy as my everyday portable computer in the public and have to deal with things workarounds.

pbranly commented 6 years ago

hi Danct12 I cannot help you anymore as I have erased those directory and their content and « apt-get remove sendmail » Regards Phil
