Installing MBRS on a VMWare LAMP appliance #1050

I have just deployed a VMware LAMP application which appears to include all of the necessary components for MRBS to work. But I have not been able to get it working successfully. Has anyone had experience working with a LAMP installation in getting MBRS to run on the default website instead of the overall LAMP Webadmin? What directory do I put MBRS into?

I got it working on the turnkey linux LAMP; I used their canned phpMyAdmin to create the tables using the provided SQL from the MRBS site, then put MRBS into /var/www/mrbs1
