Recurring series booking issue #2429

I have a question regarding recurring series bookings.

For example, successfully booked Event: Lunch Date time: 1st Apr Monday Noon Recurring every monday till end Apr.

Next I delete 15th Apr Monday booking in series. Successful. The booking is not showing on 15th Apr monday.

Finally i edited the series and updated the event title to 'Lunch on me'. Save.

The 15th Apr event is added back in. Is this expected behavior? Is it possible to not add it back in since it was deleted earlier on for the series?

I tested this on a Outlook recurring appt bookings and it does not behave this way. I suppose there is additional 'memory' of the recurring required?

Yes, this is the way MRBS works and to change it would be an enhancement. It would also need some thought about what should happen. For example if you delete an entry and then edit the series by changing the time or date, should the deleted entry be added back in? And if not, which is the new deleted entry? Etc.

Actually in Outlook the calendar recurring appointment works as expected in not adding back the deleted events in the series. Consider same model for the enhancement?
