- For inviting friends to specific events, if they follow your link or QR code, you get karma as the inviter
- For checking in at locations to unlock in-person functionality like gamification for trivia and karaoke
- For advertising where we send ads only to people if they have checked in at a location and we know they are there and the event host can communicate with them or advertise to them
- For scan to pay where people show up at an event and buy tickets right there by scanning a QR code
