Rework the new project tour #69

Users are still uncertain how the map WORKS after the tour. need an orientation video? Orientation video for when I start a new project

Need a way to disable clicking on anything else while you are in the project tour. (+1 - users really want to click on buttons in the tour. Make a transparent layer positioned below the tour modals)

One user REALLY wanted to skip the tour and start playing with the interface. He actually correctly guessed what all the interface buttons were without taking the tour. Consider a skip that takes you to the "let's go" modal in the tour

Take a Tour button could be bigger and more obvious

Consider a central larger tooltip info area where you can have larger graphics, and use arrows to point around the interface

Needs to be easier to close the tooltip modals (not just the x button, but also clicking elsewhere, or bigger hit area)

Users still had a big problem with how to create two in one column. They knew that's what they wanted to do, but they kept dragging down to try to create the node below. When it went left they were really confused and thought they did something wrong. One user dragged out to the left to "indicate a change" in the phase of her project, from inspiration to sketching. She didn't understand the mental model. We still have a big thing to figure out here. I think it can be addressed a couple ways: A short orientation video showing an example map ("Example bloom" as one user called it) being made for someone's project, adjusting language to hint at "what did this lead to?" to explain what the lines are for. People in general did not understand what the links in the map represented. I think they thought it was time, but they were very confused. We could also consider a case where a user can drag down to "split" the line and make a new node in the column.

People were a little confused whether the type selector wheel was attached to the map, or a floating menu from which they can drag the icon out to the map, like it was a bucket holding new things and they had to drag them out to the map (expected a drag-and-drop model). One user really wanted to drag all his items out quickly, then position them on the map, then connect them. Perhaps consider another tooltip modal the first time someone sees the type selector to help them figure it out?
