That sounds very much like an issue that MEGAsync has with FAT formatted cards, which do not maintain a unique ID per file which MEGAsync relies on. Under the FAT system, the operating system provides a pseudo-ID for each file but it's not always the same after remounting. If you can reformat the SD card to NTFS (or another filesystem with an ID per file), you may find it works correctly. We do have some work in progress to address those FAT issues, but using NTFS will still be more efficient. thanks
Thank you for your answer! I will test it asap and come back to you :)
Hi, I've been having this issue for quite some time now, but without much success finding a solution. Since I don't have so much space on my internal drive, I'm keeping the Mega folders on an SD card that is always plugged in. I know Megasync doesn't support external drives but I don't have a choice on the specific machine. I make sure the card is mounted much before megasync starts. Still the application starts uploading everything again and placing it in sync debris since the files are already there. This leads to filling up the account after every reboot and needing to delete it before it's usable again. Is there any workaround to this? I'm on Linux Mint 19.2 and Megasync 4.5.2
