Every time I run the desktop client on my computer, everything hangs. When I close it, the high CPU usage stops. The computer is overheating, Mega sync client is using almost 80% of my CPU.

Hi @vipermessy , Maybe you can help us a little more to identify why is that happening? What version are you using? Do you have synchronization(s) configured? An estimation on number of files/folders? Does the situation last more than 1 hours (have you tried to?).

A log may indicate if there's any looping situation. Could you please generate a log so that we can determine what's happening. In order to do so: please close MEGAsync, and run it in a terminal in this way:

megasync --debug > log.txt

Keep it running while the issue happens. Since the log could contain sensitive data (mainly file names) it would be better if you send it to support@mega.nz along with the the URL of this issue on GitHub. That way, the report should reach the development team fast and we would carefully review it.

Distributor ID: Debian Description: Parrot OS 5.0 (LTS) Release: 5.0 Codename: bullseye I am using the bulleye(Debian 11) package. The high CPU consumption happens during synchronisation of a local folder to a cloud floder. The folder does not contain many files, just my projects files and folders.
