[bug] downloading big folders over existing folders bugs out #719

If you download a big folder over an existing folder on HDD, it scans the first hundred/thousand files and folders very quickly, skips them, lists them in the completed view. Then it slows down dramatically, next files it compares takes over 30 second for 2-20 files to appear in the completed view. Having a huge number of files, it literally breaks downloading. It was not able to finish over night....had to abort. BUT if there are new files within the first quick scan, it seems to work correctly.

Since you can't sync shares, this is a deal breaker.

I used the browser integration to trigger megasync. /edit same with download from app directly. as i remember, older versions worked. used the version from the website (4.6.8), win11

I just found this annoying problem today and came to search if there were an open issue, then i found this, it's 2024 and it seems this have been going for years without a fix? This practically disables 50% of the functionality of the app, which is supposed to be syncing files...

The folder i'm trying to download have over 27k files inside, it's not in my own account(i'm not the maintainer of the contents) and i can't share it as it's private, but the gust of it is that it's a folder with images and videos of a relatively low size (5-15MB) inside multiple folders, overall size of around 100GB, and i already have over 99% of the contents downloaded as i already downloaded a previous "version" of it.

The problem is that missing <1% is basically impossible to download, if i hit "download" it adds/skips (like OP said) around 1K files instantly(without downloading anything), and then creeps at 2-3 files every 5 seconds or so... with close to 30k files at this rate it would take 5 hours every time i need to check if there are updates...
