Linux Mega Client Shutdown #731

Open WGamradt opened 2 years ago

I run the Mega client across platforms. One of these is OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with the Gnome desktop. The Mega client blocks shutdown of the system with a confirmation prompt that requires a response to continue. This prompt does not appear on Windows systems. A Windows environment will shutdown/restart without Mega prompting for confirmation to close.

This is not a huge deal just annoying to deal with.

This is caused because MEGAsync, in the absence of a systray to place its tray icon, opens at startup as a regular window (intead of a popup), with a confirmation box when closing (A caveat that this will entail exiting MEGAsync which entails stoping syncs). We will work to improve this usability annoyance. In the meantime, perhaps you want to try to install a systray plugin for Gnome Shell, so that upon restart, MEGAsync can place its tray icon and does not open as a regular window
