Unfinished download just disappeared, wtf?! #744

So I turned my computer off when the download was paused because all my bandwidth was used up (free account). I turn it on this morning, open Megasync and the file isn't listed anywhere!

MegaSync 4.7.1 x64 Windows 10

Hello,

what do you mean that the file isn´t listed anywhere? Then from where did you download the files?

If you use our Desktop app downloaded from our website - https://mega.nz/desktop Transfers will automatically resume unless you manually log out of your account from the Desktop app.

Please note that our servers automatically discard incomplete transfers after 48 hours of inactivity. Given that your download was not completed, the temporary file will be deleted as the incomplete transfer is discarded.

I loaded the link to megasync, I partially downloaded it, hence unfinished download.

But after rebooting the computer, the file is not listed. But the hidden get.mega file is there.

I think I found out what happened. When the file you are downloading is bigger than the space available on your disk, the next time you launch the app, it disappears from the list along with every file bigger than the free disk space available (you really need to fix this stupid bug ASAP. Now I have to look up the source of the files I had on my dl list. The ones I remember at least). You can't even re-add them until you free up space. This did not happen before this big update.

The good news is that you can resume the download when you free your HDD, as long as you have the hidden .getxfer.xxx.mega file
