Silent crashes #776

Hello,

About a month or so I started seeing this issue. The app starts, the icon shows up in a tray saying "fetching file list", and then closes itself (or silent-crashes), the app icon disappears from the tray and no files are synced. There is no crash report window. The app just opens and closes/crashes. I am on Windows 11, and right now on version 4.8.6 of MEGAsync.

I attached a log file from the last attempt. FYI I cut the scanning part of the log as it mentioned private files.

EDIT: the app doesn't crash on version 5.0.8, but there are some minor sync issues, which the app is unable to resolve event with my help.

I too experience silent crashes. I'm on Win10 and I too get no report window. However MEGAcmd seems to work. However I have some reports from the windows event system. ReportArchive.zip

Hi, We finally found out the issue and fixed it. We are preparing new version v4.8.7 that will address this problem. Release scheduled in the following days. Thanks for your help.
