Incompatible with Gnome extension "AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support" #827

Short

Megasync does not work when the AppIndicator extension (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/615/appindicator-support/) is turned on.

Behaviour

With extension on: megasync process is started and running. An Indicator icon is shown in the systray, but no window appears. Accessing Settings or Exit from the indicator icon's context menu does not do anything. Console output is identical to when I have the extension turned off.

When turning on extension after megasync has started up and window is visible: megasync keeps running and is responsive, but no indicator icon appears.

System Info

Debian 12 with Gnome (gnome-shell version 43.6) AppIndicator Extension version 53 megasync version 4.9.5 installed via apt from https://mega.nz/linux/repo/Debian_12/

Works fine for me on Fedora 38 and GNOME 44.3
