Gnome doesn't a tray area so Mega wont stay on background like other apps do. Even if I hide it stays on my preview view, pressing Esc the window turns black and remains there. I'm using the latest .deb Screenshot from 2024-07-28 23-39-03

It should stay on the background like Telegram does Screenshot from 2024-07-28 23-40-58

Hi, Can you try to install the latest version of the app and try again?

Please log out your account (go to your Desktop app interface - Settings - Account - Log out) and then reinstall the Desktop app from this link: https://mega.io/desktop (please DO NOT un-install anything, simply install again).

[PS: Ensure you have your Recovery Key backed up in case you forget your password and need to reset it - https://mega.nz/keybackup]

Well I moved from Vanilla OS to Fedora Silverblue time ago and same problem

I see you know try to install gnome appindicator but dnf commands do not work on Fedora Silverblue, not ideal if users don't want appindicator installed and prefer the native Telegram behaviour on gnome.

Last .rpm installed

Decided to install the appindicator extension from the gnome website and now I got the megasync tray icon
