I suggest just removing index.php and keeping index.html

That's strange, it should only create an index.php in the cache directory. Mark
will have to look into this since he coded it. I will point him here :)

It is the one in the cache folder that WP is reading :) it takes the first
index.php it finds in the theme folder.

I know. That one is no longer being created. Are you saying the bug still is a
problem? Just delete index.php in the cache folder if you're still having
problems (after you're upgraded to the latest timthumb) and you should be all
set.

No sorry not saying it isnt fixed, just mentioning it :) i havent looked at the
fix yet (iPhone).
