[Suggestion] Omni-Cable? #271

Describe the feature you'd like

Omni-Cable: a cable capable of transferring all types of resources! (Items, Fluid, Energy, Gas, Heat etc). How it works: Each type of resource has a color, the colors follow the Mekanism's color scheme (The ones in the Quantum Entangloporter) When placed it will try to connect to any adjacent block that support one or more types of resources, it will have some pixels with the color that represents the current resources connected to that block. You can use the Configurator to configure the resource type the omni-cable can input/output to that side of machine or cable, so you don't transfer the resource you don't want from that machine.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Of course several mods add this functionality but if you think of Mekanism as a standalone mod without any other mod that add that functionality, the Quantum Entangloporter having the ability to output and input multiple types of resources from the same side make it a bit weird and lose a lot of usefulness as when you need more output or inputs, u will need to get another QE as the other one ran out of sides.

Additional context

I got this idea while trying to sleep again in my bad: I woke up today at about 3AM to drink some water and when i tried to sleep again a question came in my mind: "If the Quantum Entangloporter allow multiple types of resources to input/output from the same side, why it doesn't have a cable or something that allow transferring multiple types of resources (Ignoring the QE of course, as it is a long distance device mainly, the cables are like for short distances)? that functionality kinda become useless if any other mod add that ability is not installed together with Mekanism..." So i gave up trying to sleep and here i am, suggesting this...

I had the same idea. I really wish something like this could be implemented as it would simplify greatly cable management. Some blocks requires 4 or 5 sides to fully automate right now.

As a complement, I would add a UI to manage connection ends to be able to set input, output, none for each kind at every side. While the configurator is practical, sometimes it can be very tricky to hit the correct spot in small spaces.

For crafting recipe, it could simply be 1 one each 4 kinds and it could also follow the same logic of basic, advanced, elite, ultimate.

Something similar could be done with Ender IO, but dev stopped at 1.12.
