Meka-suit rework for balancing #283

Describe the feature you'd like

In its current state, the Meka-suit is extremely overpowered, as it completely absorbs all damage in exchange for a small amount of power (small in comparison to the maximum capacity). I'm suggesting that instead of health being replaced completely with power, there could be armor point upgrades instead. I have a few alternative ideas that could work. 1.Each piece of armor could hold a different amount, so a helmet could hold 5 while a chest plate holds 8 and so on. Each installed tier would be worth 1 armor point.

  1. All armor pieces hold only 4 upgrades but each tier adds an exponentially higher amount of armor points than the last. Different tiers would be made of different materials, so level 1 could be made with something like netherite and the highest tier would be made with antimatter.
  2. There could be an upgrade system like botania's terra steel pickaxe where its power increases based on how much mana it has. For the Meka-suit, it could provide something like 4 armor points if it's currently storing 10 MFE and 16 armor points if it has 10 GFE.

An addition that would fit well with these features is an upgrade that increases your maximum health and a regeneration upgrade. -Health upgrades could be made with golden apples and can be applied to any piece of the suit, maybe each one adds 2.5 hearts and the suit can have 4 upgrades total. -Regeneration upgrade could be made with an enchanted golden apple and antimatter. It would be applied to the helmet and there would be a hotkey that triggers regeneration for a high energy cost.

Describe alternatives you've considered

In my server, I changed some of the values for the Meka-suit, in the config files, like how much power it holds and how much is consumed per damage point but it is still really overpowered. The best option I have found is just nerfing the suit into the ground. Even when I do this, people can easily just use flux networks' wireless charging.

Additional context

A rework like this would make Mekanism a more viable option for a lot of mod packs. Mekanism is a great mod but it gets left out of a lot of packs simply because it is too overpowered. The Meka-suit is one of the closest things to survival creative mode that I've found, which can be a good thing for some people, but not so much for people that want to maintain a survival experience and still have all of the other benefits of the armor.

I don't think any of these are likely to happen (at least any time soon), though one thing that may be of interest as something I decided to implement and have already done in the 10.1 branch is the ability to configure the percentage of damage the mekasuit is capable to absorb of various damage types. For example only being able to absorb 50% of the damage from an attack no matter how much power is stored.
