You're probably thinking of the fission reactor. While fusion requires polonium to craft the frames, the multiblock itself is completely safe unless you somehow end up inside it while it's running.
Likely said the wrong word for the reactor but what I mean is there are users who won't use a reactor that will explode and toxify their world even for the sake of getting past it to late game. A solar heliostat multi lock power station would give people an additional option beyond making they explode multi lock for to get steam or superheated sodium
Especially when the radioactivity doesn't go away for so long
If you use redstone control things to shut down the reactor when them temperature gets too high, you can have a completely safe reactor. (But you could still irradiate your world with bad nuclear waste disposal)
I understand how to deal with radiation the point is not to have to deal
Further clarification. This is a system of mirrors (heliostat) that are aligned to point their light at the same location which heats sodium to superheated state where you then pump it into a boiler to make steam and return the cooled sodium to the solar tower to be reheated
This would be really cool!
Describe the feature you'd like
Solar heliostat mirrors to aim at a tower to heat sodium to superheated sodium be used for boiler as an alternate to the fusion reactor for those that aren't planning to use radioactive power
