Some effects are negative, but should not be removed by Mekanism. For example, Ars Nouveau gives the player Summoning Sickness, a negative potion effect, to prevent further summoning until it has worn off. This balances their summons which can otherwise be far too powerful.
Inhalation Purification is able to remove this.

Have considered asking other mods set their debuffs to non-harmful, but it seems like the best route would be centralized control in Mekanism's configs.
