I've run into this a few times over the years but never got around to filing an actual request for it.
As it stands, the heat generator will only place on its bottom and accept cables from one of the horizontal sides. I'd like to request that it either be made to respect placement directions like logs or terracotta, OR that it be made to accept cables on its top.
This, specifically because I want to make a lava floor with gens sunk into it, and glass over the top of the entire thing. I mostly just think it'd look cool, but every time I play a modpack with Meka in it I forget this can't be done, and it makes me sad. Or at the very least it's not efficient and looks weird when cables are plunging into the lava as well just to reach the sides.
^^^ Example of something I've made to house the gens.... before realizing yet again that it doesn't work that way rn. The diorite would be eventually replaced with hardened glass from Thermal.
