Are you sure those were Mekanism Universal Cables? The class hierarchy spit out by the crash in no way resembles Mekanism, so I'm going to close this for now. Just tested with IC2 and EnderIO; couldn't experience a crash.
It's a Mekanism cable alright. I attach one to a Gas Turbine from Gregtech, wrench it off and, boom crash.
It happens specifically when power is being transmitted by a generator block. It's currently impossible for me to use your new cables on several ic2 power generators in my world.
Here, I even made a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8KeLc774X8&feature=youtu.be
Edit: Bit of an update, I cannot charge energy cubes using IC2 cables.
Edit 2: Mekanism completely breaks IC2. If I place an Energy Cube I can't charge any ic2 energy storage devices until I remove the energy cube and, re-place my ic2 cables/storage units/generators.
Universal Cables are bringing down my server every time I disconnect them from a Gregtech machine.
Less consistently when disconnected from other objects, such as Ender IO conduits.
Seriously? Looks like a pretty standard API issue. Should be easy to nab. Here's the crashlog: http://pastebin.com/zaenERhE
For ender io: http://pastebin.com/dam6jkam
Loving all of the new content (multipart cables?!), lamenting the sheer wealth of bugs.
