Sony Vaio W netbook gets no display when booting with netbook-installer #154

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.use either the img or cd version and try to boot
2.It comes up displays apple etc but when it makes it to where the installer 
should come up 
screen goes blank
3.

What netbook are you using this on?

Sony VPCW111XX

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Attach an external monitor which supports VGA or SVGA until you get access to 
the
desktop. After that, you need to add the specific resolution of your laptop's 
screen,
which is most certainly not supported by default by Mac Os X (System 
Preferences ->
Hardware -> Displays). Press Detect Display and see if your laptop's resolution
appears in the list. If it does, you're in luck. If not, you need either 
SwitchResX
(shareware) or to edit a plist as detailed in the last post (bottom of the 
page) over
