Installation on Sony Vaio VPCX11S1E fails - root device can't be found #199

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create boot stick with 0.83 and OSX 10.6
2. Start netbook
3. OSX starts but stalls before Installer opens
4. Apple + "forbidden" sign is being displayed

What netbook are you using this on?

Sony Vaio VPCX11S1E with latest BIOS

What is the expected output? 
OSX Installer starts.

What do you see instead?
Apple logo + "forbidden" sign is being displayed

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
netbook installer 0.83 + OS X 10.6

Please provide any additional information below.

Verbose mode shows an issue with the USB-controller:

AppleUSBEHCI: start unable to initialize UIM

resulting in

Still waiting for root device

I tried by disabling the UHCIReset in the boot.plist -> No success

Same issue with NetbookCD. So it seems to be a general USB issue on the VAIO.
