I am having the exact same problem. Icon shows "No AirPort Card Installed"
I am using the Mini 10V.
Which version of NetbookInstaller did you use, sir?

The last 0.8.4 from his dropbox that fixed the 10.6.3 update.

I fixed my Dell Mini 10v!
I'm so pleased....
Here is what I did, I booted into recovery mode
Hold "shift" while booting, then type "recovery=y"
Then I reinstalled NetbookInstaller 20100616212351
Now it runs like a charm.
Therefore, the update must have written to the master boot record, but now it
works again.
I am running 10.6.7 with no problems.
Good luck!

Shift is not bringing up any other directory or screen what other options for
recovery mode are there. Is this the same as pressing F2 or F12 when at the
Dell screen?

So I ran the Netbook Installer in the updated 10.6.7 then went to /Extra and
ran the UpdateExtra utility. When I restarted I plugged in an ethernet cable
and the lights lit up. Once the restart completed my WiFi works and the
ethernet. Netbook Installer found here:

Hope this helps.
