I understand your concern about a lone developer losing interest. Obsidian saves a copy of all plugins in the vault, so you will always be able to keep using the plugin even if this repo is removed.
The plugins are saved in a location similar to:
If you move away from using Obsidian you should decrypt all your notes first though.
somehow a standalone rescue boat like a standalone decryptor will help if possible, thanks
I agree, I started working on A standalone decrypt tool
It's in it's early stages and there's no mention of it on the main pages yet.
The idea is to simply save the file locally and open it in your browser for offline decryption if needed.
Still some work to do here though.
Would it be possible to decrypt the text without obsidian-encrypt plugin. My worry is if you lose interest in maintaining the plugin what will happen with my encrypted data :)
