Did you test it with the recent (november 5th) RetroArch fixes?

I used your save and it didn't work. But when I played from start and killed that boss, I got that cheevo. So, we are assuming that RetroArch is OK with it.

BTW: I used the snes9x2010 libretro core (previously called snes9x next).
