  I set the reoslution to 16x and now the app wont open is there a way to manage preferences of the app without opening it

delete the melonDS.ini file

rm ~/Library/Preferences/melonDS/melonDS.ini

What version are you using? The crash with 16x resolution should be fixed in 0.9.5.
