Blender Add-on Not working? using 2.79 (my pc can't handle new versions. it's very old lol)

I'm not sure what you're talking about? There's no Blender integration with melonDS, at least not officially.

I have a feeling that you are in a completely wrong repo to report this issue

seems like theyre referring to this https://github.com/scurest/MelonRipper which is a ripper for models and then importing into blender

According to this part of the linked repo's README, the minimum supported Blender version is 2.82. You need to upgrade.
