Update: Delta has been updated with a new version of melonDS. Please make sure you are using Delta 1.6 or later if you want to play any Pokémon game.
Delta, the multi-system emulator frontend recently released on the iOS App Store, ships with a very outdated version of melonDS – a version which was released 4 years ago and has a major game-breaking bug in the Pokémon Gen 5 games.
If you are here because your game crashed when you tried to enter a building, talk to an NPC, or save the game, you were affected by this bug. Based on Generic/RSDuck's research on the issue, I made a small tool that will patch your save state for you to prevent the game from crashing.
Please read the notice on the page and do as it says to avoid being affected by this issue in the future. Most importantly turn off the C-Gear and never turn it on again.
If you don't know how to get your save state file, please read the Delta FAQ or ask on their subreddit or Discord rather than here. Forks of melonDS (anything but the desktop Windows/macOS/Linux version) are not supported by the melonDS team and you should normally reach out to their developers if you have any issues with them.
