It probably uses some feature unimplemented in the OGL renderer like equal depth test.
Still broken. There's also meant to be a glow effect on the stone enemies that doesn't work either.
The game Ganbare Goemon Toukai Douchuu has a problem in MelonDS, and it happens after the scene where Yae blast open a hole for Goemon to escape and in the next area (after the rope trampoline scene) the screen turns black but has artifacts. It happens in OpenGL, but it shows fine in Software Mode.
