I just tried rdf-shell with an implementation of the Web Annotation Protocol--which is more or less LDP in JSON-LD for Web Annotation documents.
It seems JSON-LD is not supported and judging by librdf docs it also seams unlikely to be--at least at that layer.

Would it be possible to support it via a transformation using jsonld.js perhaps?
