Siavash recommended to checkout https://metacademy.org/about

This platform seems similar to Wikipedia in the sense that it collects Text, not patterns.

It is very different than Wikipedia in the sense that:

  1. Each the topics (“concepts”) are a node in a knowledge graph, so you see the parent-child relationships between topics.
  2. People can also contribute by creating:
    1. “concepts” (nodes in the graph)
    2. “roadmaps” (a collection of nodes that covers a specific topic)

Similar to US (and different from Wikipedia) they focus on organizing knowledge and goal oriented learning. But yes it is different from US in the sense that they don't enforce any specific formatting on their knowledge (i.e. patterns vs. text).

Shervin,

Have you seen this? https://alcamy.org/

It was recently hunted on Product Hunt with 1240 upvotes: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/alcamy

This is what the founder wrote about it:

We're taking an open, Wikipedia-like approach to curating content & information for self-learning. Call it a Wikipedia + Coursera + Reddit mashup. Our mission is to make learning and teaching using the resources already available on the web open, free and exciting!
