Still a work in progress -- conditions of the license are that weather warnings should also be displayed....

sorry -- didn't mean to open this upstream just yet -- there's lots of additional crud from my fork here :(

No worries at all. If it's proving too difficult to untangle or too much tedious work, I can also git cherry-pick some of your relevant commits and fill in the rest myself.
