Hi,

we tried to use the widget to edit the HTML content of an email. We set sanitize to no, but it seems that the widget is still removing a lot of HTML tags. Is that the expected behavior?

Hi Stanley,

I am a colleague of Tobias. Attached you will find a demo project, where you can see the issue. We've got an email template with some default html body and the user should be able to edit the html body before sending the email. The problem is, that the rich text editor will add unnecessary < p > - elements into the html body and arround existing html tags, which corrupts the existing html body.

Reproduction Steps:

Open demo project
Click on "Open html edit popup" -> A popup with richtext editor will open
Before editing the html in richtext editor, check the result and the plain html in the respective tabs
Edit the html in the edit tab (e.g. Change the text or add new styling)
Check the result and plain html tabs again

Hi @kesslera and @keilt,

Thank you for providing detailed steps to reproduce the issue. Support for html "table" tags .ie <table>, <td>, <tr> is not included in the current version of rich text widget. We shall add it to the backlog for a future release and let you know once it's included.
