INTRO

In addition to the variety of realistic minerals and ores that our mod seeks to add to the minecraft experience we will also be adding a variety of plants, crops and biologicals. While some of the following may seem redundant given minecrafts native plantlife keep in mind that using the "Realism Mode" config option disables all vanilla biologicals in favor of our more realistic varieties.

DETAILS

I.fertilized plot blocks A.made with organic or inorganic components 1.bone meal + blood meal + potash + dirt block 2.ammonium nitrate + phosphoric acid + potash + dirt block B.behave differently than vanilla tilled soil 1.can be tilled and remain so without presence of nearby water 2.when right clicked with a hoe turn into "tilled fertilized plot" 3.do not lose a layer of dirt like normal crop blocks 4.are not affected by entities walking on them C.most DXM crops will require these blocks for growth

II.growables A.cotton 1.uses -used for fiber for cloth -used for nitrocellulose -used for cotton seed oil 2.growth conditions -needs tilled fertilized crop blocks -grows anywhere but snow or desert -same grow rate as vanilla crops unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 8 MC weeks to mature -can be "picked" (right clicked with empty hand) over and over for "cotton bole" which is then processed in a workshop or in a gin to make thread. takes 2 weeks to regen cotton in "give me deus ex" otherwise it uses vanilla rates-* -needs sun to grow -grows 1 block tall in 4 stages -drops cotton bundle(when broken) and cotton bole (made into cotton seeds)

B.hemp 1.uses -used for fiber for cloth -used for burning (heh like whoa man) in biomass gens -used for seed oil -used for cellulosic ethanol -used for animal food 2.growth conditions -grows on dirt or grass blocks, needs no water -grows anywhere -double growth rate in jungle -same grow rate as vanilla crops unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 4 MC weeks to mature -needs sun to grow -grows 3 blocks tall in 4 stages -drops hemp bundle and hemp seeds

C.sugar cane 1.uses -used to make sugar -used for ethanol -used for animal food 2.growth conditions -needs tilled fertilized crop blocks -only grows in jungles or swamps -same grow rate as vanilla crops unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 4 MC weeks to mature -must be broken to yield "sugar cane" -needs sun to grow -grows 3 blocks tall in 1 stage -drops sugar cane bundle (made into sugar cane cutting)

D.einkorn (wheat) 1.uses -used for food -used for ethanol -used for animal food 2.growth conditions -needs tilled fertilized crop blocks -grows anywhere but snow or desert -same grow rate as vanilla crops unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 4 MC weeks to mature -needs sun to grow -grows 1 block tall in 4 stages -drops einkorn bundle (made into grain and chaff, grain made into seeds)

E.rubber trees 1.uses -used for natural latex 2.growth conditions -can grow on grass or dirt -grows anywhere but snow or desert -double growth rate in jungle and swamp -same grow rate as vanilla trees unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 12 MC weeks to mature -works with tap block to continuously produce latex -needs sun to grow -drops rubber tree log and rubber tree leaf (made into rubber tree saplings)

F.switchgrass 1.uses -used for burning in biomass gens -used for cellulosic ethanol -used for animal feed 2.growth conditions -can grow on grass or dirt -grows anywhere but snow -double growth rate in jungle and swamp -same grow rate as vanilla trees unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 3 MC weeks to mature -must be broken to yield "bundle of switchgrass" -needs sun to grow -grows 3 blocks tall in 2 stages -drops switchgrass and switchgrass seeds

G.enormous trees 1.uses -used for construction -used for tools -used for burning in biomass gens -used for paper -used for methanol -used for charcoal 2.growth conditions -worldspawn only. they do not drop saplings -much, much larger than vanilla trees. more like jungle trees that spawn in any biome -spawns everywhere -more numerous and ubiquitous than vanilla trees -intended to be used to fuel early industry but after being cut down cannot be replaced (deforestation simulator!) -drops large log block and large leaf block

H.flax 1.uses -used for fiber for cloth -used for drying oil 2.growth conditions -needs tilled fertilized crop blocks -grows anywhere but snow or desert -same grow rate as vanilla crops unless "give me deus ex" at which point it takes 4 MC weeks to mature -needs sun to grow -grows 2 blocks tall in 4 stages -drops flax and flax seeds

III.beasts A.general details 1.every filthy creatures drops will be replaced with "[animals name] carcass" which will have a "size" value and will have to be butchered to break down into constituent parts 2.depending on a stinking, dirty animals size value it will yield various things in various amounts -meat; cooked and eaten or made into biogas -hide; tanned into leather -organs; cooked and eaten or made into biogas -bones; ground into bonemeal -fat; rendered into glycerin 3.creatures size value are a reflection of the creatures size and determine the number of parts a butchered carcass yields based on a multiplier -size 1: cats, ocelots, chickens (x1) -size 2: dogs, wolves, sheep, squid(x2) -size 3: pigs, villagers (x3) -size 4: cow, mooshroom, horse (x6) 4.carcasses can be shapelessly crafted to yield just their meat. to get the full amount of products they must be butchered properly at a basic or advanced peoples workbench

IDEAS

-wheat non irrigated 50 bushels per acre (irrigated 100), 4046 meters2 per acre one bushel is 60 pounds of whole wheat or 90 one pound loaves of whole wheat bread so one unit of wheat .75 pounds of wheat -add the primitive staple crops which can then be bred to make better, modern strains
