This list includes detailed information about all the ore, stone, mineral and petrochemical resources that spawn naturally in the world.

DETAILS

I.general ore info

A.spawns in huge clusters or vanilla sized deposits 1.huge clusters can be found in a variety of ways a.ore detecting tools like soil testing and metal detector b.tracer deposits that form like normal vanilla ore and appear near huge veins and beds c.alluvial deposits that appear as ore gravels in water near huge deposits d.text that appears on screen when a player is on a petrochemical chunk "The smell of natural gas permeates the area" e.text that appears when near particularly large veins "The earth glimmers with shards of [general ore]" f.large outcroppings that are easily identified visually; literally ore blocks that spawn on the surface near large veins 2.for the sake of the community we will have ore spawning that functions the same as vanillas ore spawning system, but the mod is really intended to be ran with a more realistic ore spawning system where it is much harder to find but occurs in huge (1000+ block) deposits

B.ores can be broken by picks/tools of any quality except wood

C.some minerals can be teased out of vanilla materials through different processes and as such do not need to be spawned with the world 1.phosphorites from sandstone 2.silica from stone and cobble 3.diatomacious earth from sandstone 4.potash ore from stone and cobble 5.quartz from stone and cobble 6.silica from quartz

D.ores must be smelted and processed exclusively with Deus Ex Machina methods; they will offer no means to be smelted or processed by other mods or the vanilla furnace; fuck the ore dictionary

E.[general] ore blocks drop [general] ore cobble when mined with a pick

F.[general] ore blocks become [general] ore cobble when affected by explosives

G.[general] ore cobble can be dug with a shovel as if it were gravel; it can also still be mined with a pickaxe at the same speed as if it were cobble

H.bonus specific ores have an equal chance to be produced if there are more than one. note that only 1 bonus specific ore is produced per process 1.example: galena has 4 bonus specific ores so each of them has a 25% chance to be produced as a bonus ore when processing.

I.other stuff has an equal chance to be produced if there are more than one. note that only 1 other stuff is produced per process

J.rather than having ore blocks for every type of ore we can just look at what ores tend to occur alongside others and lump them together. processing can then separate these ores out from others. these ores will be referred to as "bonus ores"

KEY: -GENERAL ORE -GENERAL ORE FORMS -SPECIFIC ORE FORMS -BONUS SPECIFIC ORES -OTHER STUFF YOU CAN GET FROM PROCESSING THE GENERAL ORE (WHERE IT COMES FROM,WHAT FORM IT TAKES) -BASIC (VANILLA) SPAWNING LEVEL AND DETAILS -SPECIAL (GIVE ME DEUS EX) SPAWNING LEVEL AND DETAILS -NOTES REGARDING VARIOUS UNCATERGORIZED DETAILS

II.galena A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust, slurry B.primary ore: lead C.bonus specific ores: silver, zinc, nickel, tungsten D.other stuff: fluorite (spiral, dust) E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; as frequent as vanilla iron F.special spawn details: G.notes: cobble form can be smelted in a basic vanilla furnace for 1 lead ingot

III.malachite A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust, slurry B.primary ore: copper C.bonus specific ores: iron, zinc, nickel, magnesium, silver D.other stuff: limestone (spiral, dust) E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; as frequent as vanilla iron F.special spawn details: G.notes: cobble form can be smelted in a basic vanilla furnace for 1 copper ingot

IV.cassiterite A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust, slurry B.primary ore: tin C.bonus specific ores: tungsten, platinum, magnesium, iron D.other stuff: apatite, quartz, sulfur (spiral, dust) E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; as frequent as vanilla gold F.special spawn details: G.notes:

V.hematite A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust, slurry B.primary ore: iron C.bonus specific ores: manganese, nickel, titanium, chrome D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; twice as frequent as vanilla iron F.special spawn details: G.notes:

VI.gold A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust, slurry B.primary ore: gold C.bonus specific ores: silver, iron D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: F.special spawn details: G.notes: vanilla gold

VII.coal A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust B.primary ore: coal (bituminous) C.bonus specific ores: D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: F.special spawn details: any level above 40; spawns in beds that are 4-6 blocks tall and make large ovals anywhere from 20x40 to 60x200; can also use vanilla spawn system G.notes: vanilla coal. anything that calls for coal dust can also use separated coal dust

IIX.bauxite A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust B.primary ore: aluminum C.bonus specific ores: vanadium, iron, titanium D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; three times as frequent as vanilla iron F.special spawn details: propensity for spawning above level 40 in beds similar to coal G.notes:

IX.limestone A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust B.primary ore: limestone C.bonus specific ores: D.other stuff: diatomacious earth, fluorite, phosphorite (spiral, dust) E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; large formations F.special spawn details: G.notes: anything that calls for limestone dust can also use separated limestone dust

X.sulfur A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust B.primary ore: sulfur C.bonus specific ores: silver, cinnabar D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; found near lava; volcanic sites, salt domes; large formations F.special spawn details: G.notes: anything that calls for sulfur dust can also use separated sulfur dust

XI.uraninite A.general ore forms: block, cobble, gravel, dust, separated dust B.primary ore: uranium C.bonus specific ores: lead, thorium, neodyminium D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: any level below 64; as frequent as vanilla gold F.special spawn details: G.notes: dont worry about this blocks details until a later release. its only important that its in the worldspawn

XII.monazite sand A.general ore forms: block, separated dust B.primary ore: thorium C.bonus specific ores: neodyminium, iron, titanium, silicates D.other stuff: E.basic spawn details: any level above 40; large formations F.special spawn details: G.notes: dont worry about this blocks details until a later release. its only important that its in the worldspawn

XIII.geologically active stone A.not an ore; spawns as 10x10 circular columns that sprout up from the bedrock to level 20 or so; this is where players can place geothermal plants B.indestructible; pumps detect their presence to determine if they can pump in water to turn it into high pressure steam C.actually how geo power plants work irl

XIV.light/heavy/gas bearing stone A.not an ore; spawns as 10x10 circular columns that sprout up from the bedrock to level 64; this is where players can drill for oil/gas and set up permanent pumps that output a certain amount of filled barrels/tanks every so often B.indestructible; pumps detect their presence to determine if they can pump oil or gas C.though IRL oil and gas are finite resources they usually come in very large deposits. rather then create huge deposits in the game that players could pump out in short order i would rather provide them with an infinite trickle which they would have to keep powering and transporting to retrieve

MAYBE INCLUDE THESE IF WORLDGEN STUFF DOESNT LAG

-salt -forms: dust, gravel, cobble, stone -other stuff: forms in huge domes; usually paired with sulfur; salt dust contains magnesium and exotic salts as bonus ores; salt dust could also be mixed with water to form brine

-basalt -forms: dust, gravel, cobble, stone, brick -other stuff: a sexy looking, blast proof black stone when cut and polished (decorative/functional); basalt dust contains iron and platinum as bonus ores

-marble -forms: dust, gravel, cobble, stone, brick -other stuff: a sexy looking white stone when cut and polished (decorative); marble dust contains iron and limestone as bonus ores

-granite -forms: dust, gravel, cobble, stone, brick -other stuff: a blast proof stone that is difficult to mine (decorative/functional); chance to drop quartz when mined
