Active window capture captures too much #454

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run a borderless-fullscreen application
2. Monitors next to the application will also be somewhat captured.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was expecting only the borderless-fullscreen application (and maybe a few
extra pixels) to be captured. Instead a bunch of extra imagery was captured.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
8.1.0 r573 - Windows 7 Enterprise x64

Please provide any additional information below.
See screenshot to see the extra 'white space' was captured.

Can you try to disable transparency/shadow capture settings from Task settings
window. If it still happens then game window must be giving wrong position/size
info.

You can use this method to get ss without require to make game borderless:

I'm not playing through steam. Using the standalone version. I play
borderless since I have 6 monitors and I like being able to mouse over things
without the game losing focus.

I will try with disabling the transparency/shadow capture later when I get home.

Since you gave me the r575, this is no longer an issue.

Maybe it had something to do with the 'light' mode:

No longer have any funky extra captured space.
