What steps will reproduce the problem?

Just run Share-X and watch the Windows Task Manager.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect moderate memory usage, discover excessive memory usage instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

  Share-X 8.1.1 r584 on Windows XP SP3

Please provide any additional information below.

This is a recent (late 2013) problem.

THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL PRODUCT!

Running for days. But I will shut it down now and restart it and see how it
behaves. I always used to consume negligible memory until a week or two ago.

There is some softwares for find memory leaks like these:
http://www.red-gate.com/products/dotnet-development/ants-memory-profiler/
http://www.jetbrains.com/profiler/

i can try free trials of them for find memory leaks but your problem happens in
very long time so gonna be problem for me to reproduce that memory usages.

Well, anything you can do would be appreciated but this is not a
show-stopper, just peculiar. It's a wonderful tool, by the way!

I'm checking last two hours but can't find much. Mainly .NET managed softwares
will use more memory than native softwares. Example completely empty console
app using 17.5kb memory as you can see from this screenshot:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14076298/ShareX/2013/09/RMtdTdY7f3.png

And .NET managing memory according to ram usage too like if your ram is empty
then can use more memory freely. So can't do anything about it.

Only thing i know currently which use more memory in time is images. Because
i'm storing images in memory so in main window when you click any task it will
show preview in right side.

OK, no worries. I can just live with it. Since it was okay a month ago, the
fault is probably somehow with how my computer is configured. If I find out, I
will let you know. I appreciate your efforts.
