bugfix: remove the extraa slash #1042

remove the extra slash which is not required.

I totally missed to push the removal of extra slash from the other PR which i have created yesterday, when i started looking at the PR today, it was merged i should have kept that in draft. @mcollina sorry to bother you again can you please look into this.
