Apple video support for Xiaomi/Yi cameras

Hello!

Describe the idea or improvement My idea for improvement, is as you know iOS16 and new Homekit support video for Homekit video. My idea to transfer/stream the video to Homekit from Xiaomi/Yi cameras.

Describe the solution you'd like

• Support the MIOT plugin supported cameras to Homekit Secure Video.
• Support if possible camera movement.
• Support detection warning
• Support playback

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Cameras are a little bit tricky to implement. I already had one try to do it and i failed (only got still image to work), so actually to implement camera we would need someone with streaming experience...

Good to see, this idea is an idea from your side also. I hope someone could help about it. If need some testers with 3 type of cameras, i could help in that also.

Closing due to inactivity... As already mentioned, adding video streaming capabilities is quite tricky and requires someone with experience in that.

Yeah I tried with that properties, and the url seems to kind of work, but as already mentioned it requires a lot more logic like refreshing the url as it only works for a limited time afterwards a new url has to be used.

@merdok Please contact with (https://github.com/al-one) for home assistant he have a support funtcion to stream in is repo. Maybe it would be a greate co-op work, and many users will be very happy if this function finally work for homebridge! +1 for tester :)

I would be happy for any contribution in that area from anyone. Unfortunately from my side it is also the lack of time which currently hinders me to have a look at it... so i kind of hope for contribution...
