TV Power remote button #398

Hello!

Bit of a strange request….

My setup is working well, native HomeKit TV with hideTVservice true. I am using app buttons and notifications, etc and I am also using Homebridge-Alexa to transfer all of these features for use by voice with Alexa. Native HomeKit devices cannot be transferred to Alexa so I would like to have a TV Power on/off but this is not available with hideTVService. I tried to use the remote button for power but it is not working?? Any other options?

Unfortunately there is no way to do that, when you enable hideTvService then the assumption is that you use the native HomeKit from the tv to turn it on. But honestly I would recommend you just to remove native HomeKit tv integration and completely use this plugin for that. The plugin is superior to the tv HomeKit implementation and there is literally no reason for you to use that. My tv has also the native HomeKit but I never enabled it even once😅
