I agree that it's fine to remove the process control elements that aren't being used here. Is there somewhere else in the book that they could go, or are you thinking of removing them completely and just putting in a reference?
Right now, I'm thinking just a reference. I'm not sure there's a another reasonable place for it.
I dropped some of the process control topics (else, return, switch), becasue it felt awkward introducing them without a concrete use case in the example project. Added a point to mention them, and send people somewhere else for more details. Does that seem reasonable?
