Hey, I can't help with that but I have a question.
Did you manage to flash the T530 with no problems, only based on the documentation? I read this issue and the workaround this user had to do to make it work, and wanted to know if you had this with your laptop.
Were the documentation steps provided enough for successful flash on both chips?
No, the documentation here for the T530 isn´t right. You will run into issues. My RaspberryPi doesn´t find the chip. The description in your workaround is right. Flash the left chip (8mb Intel ME) and bridge at the same time the right chip (pin 1 and 8). I did it with soldering it. I had also to bridge the left chip (pin 1 and 8) to flash the right chip (4mb bios). It works great this way. No problem with the 3.3V from the raspi. I did it with 4x T530. This device is great because of the 1920x1028 screen. Debian/Ubuntu works good. But I can´t start windows on one of this laptops. Hope someone can help!
@merge please update the documentation for the T530 with this information.
@yrvc38b8 flashed a T430 and while Debian 12 works perfectly fine, Windows 10 is looping.
I didn't get any errors like you but mine is just looping. Something's going on with Windows, did you solve your problem?
no I can´t fix it yet, I still need help
Have the same problem. Windows 10 is looping with ACPI_BIOS_ERROR BSOD.
The two flashes were flawless with a tigard and a pomona clip.

we can do that, sure. I flashed T530 without this workaround until now though. Feel free to create a pull request.

I think that none of the "free" builds are compatible with windows. Windows might need the proprietary lenovo video bios (with which we currently provide builds only for x230). I was hoping to get rid of that proprietary vbios but we should evaluate what's more important...
Same issue with W530. Would be nice if they had builds with vbios.
hello, I need help to fix this issue in the title. Has anyone an idea why windows doesn´t boot? I thought that coreboot fixed this issue. Flashed it successful and debian works great, but I can´t boot windows without this ACPI error. I also tried to flash 1.0.4 but I will get the same error.
