Issue: ECMWF/ERA5 does not appear to provide free/open FORECAST (i.e. future) data for atmospheric parameters (wind, solar irradiance)

Suggestion: Perhaps GFS (USA) and ICON (Germany) could be useful resource for forecasted atmospheric data:

Questions:

Does GFS also have forecasted data for solar irradiance? YES, they call it Downward Short-Wave Radiation Flux [W/m^2], see here: https://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/products/gfs/

Kadlu v2.4.3 includes a new module for downloading GFS data within -7 days and +5 days of current time.

I will keep this issue open, as there is still interest in adding an ICON data module to Kadlu
