Opening tabs in the sidebar closes it #84

Sometimes, but not always, opening a tab in the sidebar closes it. When I re-open the sidebar I am in the correct spot, so I am not sure what is happening.

I'm closing this since I can't find a place where this happens and I'll greatly alter the sidebar behaviour soon
