Global

Is there an external name for this Netforum eWeb? It's confusing to go from uli.org to this and not being exactly sure where or what it is. Especially when the clicking the logo takes you back to uli.org

Hierarchy in navigation is confusing. Based on the visuals alone, there isn't a clear indication of where I should go or what the most important items are.

Hierarchy in footer in confusing. The items with the most attention don't seem very important or like they require any action on the user's part (ie. secure icon, support the ULI Foundation)

Join

Sign up form is too many steps, this is confusing and adds roadblocks. Sign up form assumes you already have an account and didn't mean to get here. Flow should accommodate the primary goal first, which is to sign up (not to login).

Login process is the exact same as sign in, so if I click login and enter my info, it says "
You are already a current member of ULI" like I made a mistake trying to sign up.

Pagination is inconsistent and strange in many places (odd that it appears above content, there are a variety of pagination formats in play).

Events

Decision from above: landing page should only display the event search, and not any specific events, because showing all events makes ULI appear US-centric (as most events are based in the U.S.)

Event calendar is difficult to read (low color contrast, confusing organization).

Calendar view looks like an action rather than a view adjustment button.

Individual events looks cluttered, a bit disorganized.

Locations in listing are too specific, adding a state, country, region would be helpful.

Dates in listings are multiple links but all to the event. This is confusing and unnecessary.

Registration process triggers a login even though I logged in minutes ago.

There is no indication on the event page when event registration is closed (you have to go through an additional screen and a login to get that information. This information should be lifted on event page and listing page.

Event search looks more complicated than it needs to be. Organizing the same information into more simple buckets could make this more user friendly. We should align the search with how most people should be using it.

Is there a capability to add images for any of these events? That could add visual interest. CTAs with imagery encourage more interactions.

Member Directory

It's not ideal that you have to search before you can see anything. It might be better if the user can see all members, and there is just a search at the top.

This search is really advanced, perhaps too advanced. It requires the user to make some pretty specific choices before they have access to any information. This level of specificity right up front also creates many combinations that have no results.

This member listing is difficult to scan as there isn't any visual hierarchy of the information within each listing.

This pagination is too prominent and overwhelming. Sorting options and filters that stay on the screen for the displayed results would be much more useful.

Cart

It would be great if the number of items in a user's cart could be displayed right in the navigation.

The shopping cart appears confusing, there isn't a strong hierarchy of information. Content is organized a bit all over the place, and there doesn't seem to be much visual structure.

Donate

This page is simple and very light on content, which is great for a donation page. We don't want anything to distract the user from donating. This actually seems to be the simplest form on the site.

That said, we still have plenty of room to clean up the page visually and bring a bit of visual order to the content.

Profile

This page looks more complicated than it really needs to.

There are multiple pathways to the same content that are using different labelling, which is confusing.

There isn't any incentive for the user to add interests, regions, or areas of expertise. Adding simple descriptions that say what this information will be used for would give the user a reason to add this information, and would provide valuable context.

There isn't a clear visual hierarchy on this page. I think we can give more visual attention to the most important pieces on the page and clean things up overall.
