Adding an option to enable/disable VTK support #38

An option to enable/disable VTK support was added, and preprocessor directives were used where VTK libraries were called. Since most of the tests are using VTK/VTU input files, those tests are excluded from the testing procedures. This fixes #36.

Not quite ready for a merge yet, modifications to the travis setup are still missing to test the new option.
