Remove warnings from tests #91

When running the tests against django 1.10, a lot of warnings are printed. In preparation for later versions of django, these warnings should be addressed, while maintaining backward compatibility with old versions insofar as django itself supports them.

I think this has been done as far as is reasonable for the moment. Thanks @Ian-Foote
