Cassandra errors

I followed the tutorial here to deploy the tweeter app. The app however fails to start due to errors connecting to cassandra. From the tweeter logs:

Im running on DC/OS 1.8.1 AWS CloudFormation with cassandra package version 1.0.14-3.0.7.

I just checked and it works with cassandra package version 1.0.13-2.2.5.
