Internationalization has just been implemented.

Currently we have English and Russian languages. By default the app uses a browser language if it is set or English otherwise.

You can add a new language by comitting a new dictionary to /src/locales

That's good ! I can't see how to switch languages though. Is it needed to change our browser language ?

So far, we have no language switching. The site displays the language based on the browser settings. The functionality of switching the interface language will be done in the near future.

Your definition of "near future" is definitely not lousy ! Congrats on being so responsive

If I may, I suggest to add on the translations the "Portuguese" options in each version of the line mentioning the language listing (l.65) as done in the collaborative table : https://lite.framacalc.org/9e3l-hsj5su1w1d I've also done minor modifications on the French part, so you might consider updating the txt file with the content on it. Cheers

Edit : Italian is now available after a friend of mine I harassed accepted haha. To be found on the shared table. The orange cell is to be updated to the French file.

I will add Italian when the Framacalc table starts working. The table is currently not working. In general, Framacalc is not stable. Yesterday there was also a downtime period when the table did not work.

Therefore, for now, I suggest using Google Docs for translating the names of the fractions.

• It can be edited anonymously.
• It works stably.
• But most importantly: Google Docs shows the latest changes in the table, so that I can quickly make changes to translations.

In the Framacalc table, I could not find the functionality for highlighting the latest changes. Therefore, I can’t understand which cells have changed.

UPD Framacalc works through VPN. However, there is still a problem with determining the latest changes.

I fully agree with you. As far as I would love avoiding using a Google solution in an open-source project, one must admit the lack of really useful features in Framacalc.

I've done a couple of minor changes on the sheet. The "bulb" translation in French is to be updated as it prevents the display to be messed up (and the name is actually more common).

Nice service ! I am all in to use it and would join should a sheet be opened. The "account necessity" could be a barrier for a broader use from different new contributors I can imagine.

I believe that we need to use the translation management system. For example, here are two translation systems:

• https://translate.zanata.org/iteration/view/orm/1?dswid=4733 (RedHat)
• https://pontoon.mozilla.org/fr/ (Mozilla)

However, the use of Translate management systems seems to me much more difficult than the use of a collaborative table.

I have already used Weblate (for PeerTube : https://weblate.framasoft.org/), Crowdin (https://crowdin.com/ for OpenMultiMaps) and Zanata but framasoft wasn't happy with it, so they switched to Weblate.

I have used Crowdin in another project also. Weblate looks fine to me, Pontoon as well.

I agree that, considering the small size of the material to be translated, a collaborative table would do the trick very satisfyingly I reckon.
