Add an option to show/hide labels in tab bar

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Tab bar icons are self explanatory to the more sophisticated user. They prefer a more streamlined user interface, but they find it frustrating that do not have an option to make the tab bar more straightforward by removing its labels.

This would be welcome, as when using the app in German the spacing is uneven because of the string lengths

I would consider removing the labels in a future redesign, but feel adding a setting for this is not the right choice vs just altogether removing them.

@jzzocc Why do you think, a setting would be not the right choice?

In contrast, I would think that a setting would be exactly right, because then every user can make his or her own choice.
